About this ebook
My mother 's emails are as rambling as her life has been. In the movie Tumbleweeds you saw a slice of my life with her. Every time I get an email from my mom my friends insist I call them and read it aloud so they can hear about my mom’s life as a senior on the dating scene or the foods she was avoiding or how she’d changed her name yet again. So, I decided to compile a book! Emails originally written by Joann Shelton, edited and compiled by Angela Shelton.
These emails are best read aloud with friends in your best Southern accent!
Angela Shelton
I began writing when I was eight. My eclectic mother would simply tell me to "write it down" when I had too much to say about our crazy life. I began my professional writing career by adapting my first novel into the screenplay Tumbleweeds. I went on to adapt other novels for the big and small screen including Charms for the Easy Life by Kaye Gibbons. I wrote the book Finding Angela Shelton about how my directing debut, Searching for Angela Shelton, changed my life. While fulfilling my dream of living in the country and writing books in a barn house - the character of Tilda Pinkerton was born. I incorporated Tilda into a line of book projects for all ages. The 'big book' is the middle grade fantasy series, The Adventures of Tilda Pinkerton, for advanced 5th grade readers and up. Tilda Pinkerton's Magical Hats is a series for readers k-3. I am always writing something for print or screen and I love my life. Thank you so much for reading my books. There are quite a few more to come!
