Tennis! Feel the joy and love of the game. Wander through courts and locker rooms, where you'll find stories of tennis that aren't televised for the large dollars, but enjoyed just because it's a great game.

Tennis is the ultimate social sport. To play, you need a partner, for doubles, three partners, and each partner will take you aside to tell you about his/her game.

Okay, tens of thousands of words have been written about tennis. Discussions about equipment, strategy, court surface, fitness, tournaments and personalities have been written to the point where there seems to be nothing left to say. Except, there is more to say, because tennis is human. My book relates some of the magic ever present in the lifetime game of tennis.

I tell stories. There isn't much about the strategy or technique of playing the game; instead, I present my thoughts, impressions and reflections about the wondrous things that happen when people get together on tennis courts.

Someone has said, "Tennis is gentlemen's boxing." Perhaps, I prefer to call it a social sport, full of the fun and love of the game.
