ABOUT THE AUTHOR
INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the no-holds-barred, in-your-face curriculum that dares to give you straight talk about some of the most controversial and forbidden topics that you are facing today. Did you know that you are being threatened even as you’re reading this? The truth is that there are enemies waiting at your door. And not just at the door of your home or school or church—this is personal.
Governments throughout the world have launched fraud alerts against the ever-growing crime of identity theft. Every day, thieves all over the globe are taking bits and pieces of personal information and stealing the identities of others. Did you know you were at risk? Maybe your bank account is ok, but what about the thieves that are targeting your soul? These thieves are different—they want to rob you of your future, your reputation, and your spiritual identity.
Who are these thieves? They are many, and you’re sure to recognize a few of them—sexual experimentation, alcohol, drugs, culture control, self-sabotage, loss of faith. Long, long ago, Jesus knew about these thieves and warned us:
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
(John 10:10 NKJV)
Are you ready to defend yourselves from these thieves? Student Leadership University has gone undercover to expose this gang of thieves and their modus operandi. This study will give you the tools to fight and defend your identity.

CHAPTER 1
ID THIEVES AT THE DOOR
THEY COME TO DESTROY
KEY SCRIPTURE
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
—John 10:10
COULD THIS BE YOU?
The Thief: When Frank Abagnale was sixteen, his parents divorced, and the judge gave him the choice to live either with his mother or his father. Frank says, I didn’t really want to make that choice, and I was kind of stubborn. I just walked out of the courtroom, and basically ran away from home. No one wanted to hire a 16-year-old, but I was 6 feet tall, I had grey hair, and my friends always said I looked more like I was 28 years old. So I changed my date of birth on my driver’s license so that it showed me as being 26 years old. I just took on that identity of being ten years older than I was, and that led to all the different jobs I took on, and all the different things I did.
¹ In a five-year spree of forgery and fraud, as portrayed in the 2002 movie Catch Me If You Can, Abagnale impersonated his way around the United States, assuming identities as he went. He cashed $2.5
