About this ebook
“Truly exciting...[Andrews] has moved into the winner’s circle with Heart Trouble.” — St. Louis Post-Dispatch
The fifth installment of this popular series sends cleaning lady/sleuth Callahan Garrity after the killer of the most hated woman in Atlanta.
Former cop, currently co-owner of the House Mouse housecleaning service, and freelance p.i., Callahan Garrity raises eyebrows when she accepts an assignment from the most hated person in Atlanta — a wealthy white socialite who killed a young Black girl in a drunken hit-and-run and was punished with no more than a slap on the wrist. Even Callahan’s “Mice” are grumbling. But when a roadside murder turns up the heat on the racial tensions that have been simmering dangerously since Whitney Albright Dobbs received her laughably light sentence, Callahan realizes she’ll have to pull out all the stops to trap a mean, mad killer — for the sake of justice and a city that’s threatening to explode.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love the Callahan Garrity Series and this was my last one to complete. Each one can be a standalone; however, once you read one, you will want to read them all! I do hope Mary Kay (Trocheck), will continue with this series as not only as they funny, witty, they are well written and great mysteries.
Mary does an outstanding job with her research and she knows Atlanta. Having spent most of my career there for years, I always love revising through her books as know all the landmarks.
This one was a page turner and had to finish it on New Year’s Day as spend the day with it as could not go to bed until I found out the culprit.
You will love the characters and Callahan needs to let her mom Edna run the cleaning business as she is too good of a detective and can solve any case!
Not sure I have a favorite out of the series (I think my picks would be Heart Trouble and Irish Eyes), even though all of them were entertaining and glad they are being republished as e-books. Highly recommend if you like southern humor and a good mystery.
Have read all Mary Kay’s books and now going back to read her Truman Kicklighter Mystery Series. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Parallel story of rich white woman before and after she is on trial for running over a poor black child. Thought provoking, tho a little repetitive.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5A fun mystery series with a dose of Southern Charm. At the center of the action is the House Mouse maid service. Great summer vacation reads.

Callahan realizes she'll have to pull out all the stops totrap a mean, mad killer, both for the sake of justice and for the citythat's threatening to explode.I really do like this series. This is the fifth book in the series, and Ihaven't been reading them in order (unfortunately) but I'm almost caught upwith only one more to go. I do hope Trocheck spins more tales aboutCallahan and crew.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Heart Trouble was a fantastic read! It had everything you'd want in a romance! It was super smexy and suspenseful, but it also had a great angst added as well. HT was a quick read, but it is not lacking anything. You get full character development, plot/resolution, and quite a few HAWT scenes.
Erin is an ER doctor and Sean is a detective, and they meet in a bar, one which Erin is obliged to go to for a bet and Sean for work. What they don't know, is that night is the catalysts that thrusts them into a world of danger. They work together to solve Sean's case, and end up falling for each other. But lies and danger may tear them apart!
Overall, this is a great read.. one I wouldn't normally pick, but totally don't regret one word of it. I loved this book, and would highly recommend it!
