I am so glad that I found this book and got to understand Jean's ideas about manifestation.
This certainly complements the stuff I was earlier earning about the Law Of Attraction.
This is a small & easy to read book, yet the ideas presented are so profound.
Thank you Jean Slatter and Thank you Scribd !

This little book instructs us how to make our lives easier by enlisting the invaluable help of “the spirits of creation”. We learn how to ask these spiritual beings to help us with both small, everyday matters and larger projects – anything and everything. The book is well-written and inspiring. The author, Jean Slatter, gives us access to “the Universal Yellow Pages”. The hardest thing for me about this method was finding the best, most relevant names for the beings from whom I require help. However, Jean assures us that we don´t need to worry about the nomenclature we use: the beings will understand what we mean.Worksheets are provided at the back of the book on which to fill in the names of the committees and committee members we need.Jean recounts many amusing stories of how she and her clients received help. She holds imaginary staff meetings in her car on the way to work, telling them of her intentions for the day. After hiring a spiritual secretary, marketing “rep” and bookkeeper, her practice flourished.I myself have a spiritual health committee, a spiritual Akashic Records Committee (to help me hear the Akashic beings clearly) when I go into the Records), a spiritual abundance committee and a spiritual bus-catching helper (I don´t need a whole committee to help me catch my buses), and am planning to have many other helpers and committees. So far, I´ve found out that I must avoid consuming peanut butter (to relieve scleroderma), I have won a small legacy, and become more inspired to detox my body. Yesterday I got my printer back from being repaired and asked for help to find the apertures in which to insert the various tubes, or whatever they´re called (you can tell I´m not particularly technically minded) and printer ink containers. I find that sort of thing extremely challenging. The printer ink just wouldn´t fit where it was supposed to – I asked for help, and my fingers suddenly shoved it upwards of their own accord, and it said “click”! When asking for help, we must do so with intention and trust that the Universe will support us. We should picture the cosmic forces as loving friends who are easy to talk to and understand what we mean.We should adopt a playful attitude. We are “the very extensions of God Himself, and He gives us unlimited support from the Heavens. We just need to ask.We should cultivate an attitude of gratitude and ask that the heavenly assistance be brought to us in the perfect way for the highest good of all concerned. We should have faith, and just know that what we ask for will happen. We can have whatever we ask for. This is the essence of true magic. It is important to define your wants and desires, but also to let go of them – stay unattached! Be patient!Life will just seem to work out, where previously it was difficult. Things start falling into place, seemingly miraculously.Jean tells us that the angels want to be included in our life – they want us to call upon them. We repay them for their help by our love and joy.We are creators with God and the Spirits of Creation, and it is through us God experiences and creates. This makes us extremely important – the Universe is counting on us!I find this book easy-to-read, enjoyable and inspiring. If you use the principles advised by Jean, your life will be transformed. I have previously asked for and received help from the angels and my household deva, but this book has helped me to take this “work” to the next level. I feel great relief that I can obtain this invaluable help to resolve all the problems in my life, every day, just by asking. Of course, sometimes it takes time for the beings to deliver what we need. The process helps me to learn about TRUST –which is one of the most important qualities we need to acquire. This is an invaluable little book, if you´re ready to ask for angelic help!

Hiring the Heavens - Jean Slatter

Worksheets

Iwas guided to write this book. At first I couldn’t imagine how my ideas could fill a book — they seemed too simple! After all, I had been using them for years without any special effort or training. They had become so much a part of my life that I never went through a day without them. It took as little as ten minutes to share my process with friends, so how could I possibly expand the material enough to create an entire book? Yet that’s what my inner guidance insisted upon.

It began to dawn on me that the simplicity of my process was its greatest beauty. I loved the idea of offering a path to Spirit that seemed like child’s play, one so easy and openhearted that it left room for the reader’s own imagination to flower. I wanted my book to be short and sweet, yet overflowing with possibilities — something that could be read in a few hours and yet potentially change the reader’s perceptions in a profound and lasting way.

I knew I would need to depict what I’ve come to call the Spirits of Creation in a way that would inspire rather than confine the reader. I decided to use various terms (celestial helpers, invisible assistants, cosmic forces, angels, guides, Spirit, the Heavens, the Divine, and so on) that could be interpreted as literally or symbolically as the reader wished. I knew that many people would view the Spirits of Creation as actual beings, while others might see them as facets of their own inner or higher selves or simply as a handy way to conceptualize the infinite resources and benevolence of the nonphysical dimension. Or all of the above! More than anything, I wanted my book to open a beautiful doorway that could be entered by readers with diverse backgrounds and perspectives.

So, in the spring of 2002, I began to put pen to paper. And I watched as my ideas, while retaining their precious simplicity, began to deepen and fill out. As the book evolved, my own personal awareness about who we really are and what we’re here to do expanded dramatically.

Many spiritual teachers tell us that life is a gift to be lived in joyful alignment with our divine source. But until a few years ago I didn’t understand that to achieve this alignment, I had to own, accept, and employ the part of me that is divine. Otherwise, my essence and my purpose in this lifetime would not be fully expressed.

Employ my own divinity? What exactly did that mean? I discovered that for me the answer lay at the heart of creating my own reality, a very popular idea these days but one that only became real for me when I embraced the employment concept described in this book. Ultimately, it meant a shift in perception that changed the way I viewed everything.

It all began when I came to understand that I was not alone, that spiritual helpers stood ready and willing to be hired in the cocreative expression of my divinity. Unified with Spirit, I realized I was master of my universe and designer of my world. This was a message of freedom and power.

I must admit that much of what I’m about to share came as a big surprise to me. Watching it unfold was an exhilarating experience, but it also triggered some internal resistance. Part of this revelation, I felt at first, bordered on irreverence. I now recognize that my apprehension was nothing more than growing pains within my consciousness. As my spirit expanded into fuller understanding, new perceptions replaced those beliefs that no longer served me.

When I shared this information with others, I received heartfelt responses from many people who also heard an inner whisper urging them to create their lives in tandem with the power of the Universe. I came to see myself as a bridge, and my mission as one of connecting people with the spiritual world in a tangible, easily embraceable way. Writing this book was an inevitable step on my path toward owning and accepting my own divine power — and inspiring others to do the same.

Do you feel connected to Spirit? I’m not talking about whether or not you have a religious background or affiliation. I’m talking about being connected to the power of the Heavens — and bringing it right down here to Earth to use in your everyday life.

For many people, spiritual connection means going to church and praying. And even though they may believe they

have a soul or spirit within, they feel separate from the power of the Universe. They can worship it and form religions around it, but it remains outside of them. Only in times of crisis or in service of a noble cause do they feel justified in calling upon that power — and even then they believe the response (or lack thereof ) is entirely up to God.

Even those of us who believe in our oneness with Spirit often find it difficult to envision such a tremendous force as a tangible, viable energy in our daily lives. The idea that we’re all part of God may be inspiring, but it’s just pretty prose unless we can somehow get it into bite-sized pieces.

What we really need is a way to make our lives better, a way to be happier and more at ease — to find a fulfilling job, create a great
