About this ebook

The scriptures are filled with the peace of God to surround your heart and mind and protect you from the harassment of the enemy. In God’s peace, your mind will become clear and your body will recover strength. In his book, The Word on Rest and Peace, Rev Jay Eberly writes, “Jesus took the chastisement that was necessary to obtain your peace. He provided a way for you to live free from the pressures that come in life. But you must practice the Word for it to benefit you. By taking simple steps of faith on the truths of God’s Word, your life will be transformed; so much so that you will seem to be a different person. Your life can be like heaven on earth!”
This book is based on the transcript of his popular scripture CD, by the same title, The Word on Rest and Peace. These materials are designed to assist you to keep yourself in the peace of God, in faith and in rest — walking out the plan for your life in confidence, knowing that you’ve heard from God.

    Foreword

The victory God has provided for us is total and complete, and the spiritual equipment He has made ours lacks nothing. Contained in our spiritual arsenal is the force of peace. It is a spiritual force that we are to utilize as we run our race.

This peace that belongs to us is two-fold: first, peace with God, and second, peace as our daily flow and spiritual weapon. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but are mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; (2 Cor. 10:4). Peace is one of these weapons that belongs to us, and it is mighty in the face of opposition. The peace God has made ours is divine and supernatural; it is above the natural, and functions independent of circumstances.

Peace is not the absence of opposition; rather, it is a force that empowers a man to remain untroubled and undisturbed in the midst of adversity as he stands squarely and unmovable in faith on God’s Word. Peace’s true value is not fully seen when everything is in place and running smoothly, but it’s greatest power is demonstrated as we are held undisturbed in the midst of turmoil, and in the face of adversity and threatening circumstances.

Peace is spiritual, supernatural equipment that mounts guard like a troop of soldiers over our hearts and minds, refusing to allow threatening adversaries, opposition and circumstances that surround to trouble the heart and mind (Phil. 4:7). Peace is the flow of one who is resting on the Word of God and on the greater One who resides within.

In a test, the mind may be assaulted, but we are to learn to draw on the supernatural force of peace that is within our hearts. Because it is as near as our own hearts, it is accessible to us at a moments notice, present and ready to be drawn upon. We are to become skillful at drawing on that mighty peace in the course of daily life, then we will know how to draw on it when faced with adversity and the threats of the enemy. We can then say with Paul, "…for I have learned

how to be content (satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or disquieted) in whatever state I am" (Phil. 4:11, Amplified).

The attacks of the enemy are very real, but we do not have
