About this audiobook

A local schoolgirl is murdered. Her husband is behind bars. Did he do it?

A year ago, after the devastating loss of their unborn child, Viola and Alex Watson leave Denver and start over in a tranquil town in Tennessee.

Viola is pregnant again, but her new life is about to collapse around her.

Alex is arrested for the murder of an Aston High schoolgirl who went missing three months ago.

Viola refuses to believe her husband is a murderer.

Eventually, the truth will unmask the real killer, and Alex will come back home.

But things are not always what they seem.

In her search for answers, Viola finds out the hard way that sometimes the truth can only be found in dark places. And once it’s out in the open, it has the power to expose the best-kept secrets and to punish both the innocent and the guilty.

The twists and turns in this gripping psychological suspense will leave you breathless.

My first by this author and I really liked it. Main character too much inner dialogue; but the twists were worth pushing through it.
Reading another from this author starting tomorrow.

Story was up and down. It went this way then the opposite direction. Too much!
The only thing that made it worse was the whiny extremely dramatic voice of the person reading the story!!! I had to stop several times and take a break from her over dramatic voice. She must have been a drama queen when she was a kid.

10/10! The repeated plot twist is absolutely insane. Be sure to pay attention bc a lot of the information in the beginning is will be useful towards the end.

This book was interesting, yet completely unrealistic. It is not well written and the plot is ridiculous. Some parts were so stupid and absurd that all I could do is laugh. The main character is black, but you wouldn’t know because it is not discussed (which would be relevant in all parts of her life…especially living in a small white town). I only finished it so that I could find out how crazy it ended.
