Nghi Vo is the author of Siren Queen, The Chosen and the Beautiful, Don't Sleep with the Dead, and The City in Glass, as well as the acclaimed novellas of the Singing Hills Cycle, which began with The Empress of Salt and Fortune. It's like Bad Omens but not good. I didn't understand the point of this book, the ending, or the message. The "love" between the angel and demon wasn't love and I didn't get that vibe. Just devotion from one who had been corrupted.

This book has reset what five star book means to me. Absolutely beautiful story, heartbreaking, romantic, inspirational, tragic. Absolutely loved the story.
