About this audiobook
Mickey Haller is a Lincoln Lawyer, a criminal defense attorney who operates out of the backseat of his Lincoln Town Car, traveling between the far-flung courthouses of Los Angeles to defend clients of every kind. Bikers, con artists, drunk drivers, drug dealers—they're all on Mickey Haller's client list. For him, the law is rarely about guilt or innocence, it's about negotiation and manipulation. Sometimes it's even about justice.
A Beverly Hills playboy arrested for attacking a woman he picked up in a bar chooses Haller to defend him, and Mickey has his first high-paying client in years. It is a defense attorney's dream, what they call a franchise case. And as the evidence stacks up, Haller comes to believe this may be the easiest case of his career. Then someone close to him is murdered and Haller discovers that his search for innocence has brought him face-to-face with evil as pure as a flame. To escape without being burned, he must deploy every tactic, feint, and instinct in his arsenal—this time to save his own life.

First book I read by this author, and undoubtedly an excellent noir novel, with a plot that, despite not having much action (which I did not miss), progresses steadily without rush but without pause. It never feels long to me, and what I liked the most is how well it is narrated from beginning to end, everything fits perfectly with a more than satisfying ending. The protagonist, apparently part of a series with more novels that I will have to read to understand him better, detective Bosh, is a true genius of criminal investigations, which adds the finishing touch to a perfectly executed noir novel, so we will continue to delve into the world of detective Bosh! Without inventing anything new, I found it to be a very entertaining detective novel. You quickly empathize with the charismatic detective Harry Bosch, and the storyline that encompasses the entire investigation maintains constant tension until the end. Looking forward to continuing to read more books from this series. The Bosch series on Prime Video, based on the novels of this same character, is also recommended. Another case from the Bosch series that this time delights us with a very elaborate crime scene preparation, where it is necessary to compare all the details to advance in the investigation. In addition to the usual showcasing of the character with whom it is hard not to empathize. (Translated from Spanish) - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5

Harry Bosch, and his genesis, "Bosch," captured my attention with his meticulous attention to detail. Bosch encapsulates them in his paintings, while he draws them in the reader's mind through his conscientious observation. In this case, it all starts, the gear of details, from the crime scene of a producer, in the trunk of his car, simple, apparently; the entire background is what matters. Connelly continues to delight me. (Translated from Spanish)
