About this audiobook

David Collins and Amy Jennings, two charming, innocent children are suddenly turned into demons. At first their pranks only annoy Maggie Evans, their governess. But soon she realizes they have become malicious, bent on destroying all of Collinwood.

Convinced the children are possessed by a mysterious, supernatural power, and frightened for her life, Maggie turns for help to Barnabas Collins.

Will his powers be strong enough to overcome the evil forces that captured the minds of the children before they—and Barnabas—are completely at the mercy of the devil himself?

Diehard fans of the TV show probably will not appreciate the "separate continuity" developed in these novels by the ghost writer. I remember reading some these novels as a kid, but I could never find all of them, so it is delightful that all of the audiobooks are available now in digital format to return to. This particular story is somewhat light on plot, even by TV serial standards, and of course the female protagonist is named 'Maggie' instead of 'Victoria' (on the show, for those who don't remember, Maggie was a different character), but the author captures the mood and characters quite well, and the narrator has the perfect voice for reading a Dark Shadows story.
