The novel follows the Dashwood sisters to their new home, a cottage on a distant relative's property, where they experience both romance and heartbreak. The contrast between the sisters' characters is eventually resolved as they each find love and lasting happiness. Jane Austen

What our readers think

Readers find this title engaging and immersive, taking them on a journey with its unique narrative style. The variety of character voices adds depth, creating an old-timey radio show feel. However, some audio quality issues with certain character voices can be distracting and detract from the overall experience.

Amazing book!! I didn't expect I'd like it so much!!

The dramatic reading with a narrator for each character took me on a whole journey.

A shame not all the narrators have the same quality of audio recording, though. Some characters' voices were muffled and surrounded in static, I could have sworn Mrs Jennings was never in the room, but instead constantly on call from an old cellphone. It's jarring and distracting.

(And Mrs Dashwood, the emotional woman she's been described as, was given a most monotone and inexpressive voice. Almost robotic. That was quite weird)

Great story, horrible reading. Bad acting & it sounded like AI.

I liked the characters having their own voices. It was more like listening to an old-timey radio show than an audio book. 4 stars because some of the voices were weird, however. Mrs. Dashwood sounded like Siri or an AI voice. Every time her part came up it threw me off being immersed in the story because the voice was so unfitting...
