Story was meh. Good points for inventiveness but it dragged on for so long. I feel like it took a long time for the story to progress. A few good spots of action which were typically at the end of the book. I went head and listened to books 4-6 and was a little disappointed. Several of the character arcs just stopped and you didn’t get final resolution for them which was frustrating. Since the third person story kept bouncing around to all these characters and to have them just removed/forgotten disappointed me. The author decided she needed to narrate herself which, to me was distracting. Sounded just like the computer from the resident evil movie “you’re all going to die down here…” was in my mind the whole time. Not that I’m against a British accent but being American it was just distracting.

Realistic characters. Myth mixed with scifi action.
    Complex storyline fun
