About this audiobook
Our Path to Freedom is a collection of personal stories by members of Nicotine Anonymous, a fellowship of people helping each other to recover from nicotine addiction. The fellowship, formed in the ’80s, is a diverse group made up of people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life. However, we are all nicotine addicts whether we smoked tobacco, chewed it, or used nicotine in any form. In the Nicotine Anonymous program, many have found freedom from the compulsion to use nicotine as well as greater serenity and happiness.
In preparing this book, we sought to represent the diversity of our membership and to retain the voice and meaning of each author’s story. In 1990, the fellowship changed its name from Smokers Anonymous to Nicotine Anonymous. Some of the stories referred to Smokers Anonymous. These references were changed to read Nicotine Anonymous for consistency.
