Writing happy endings is easy. Living one is the hard part.
Georgia Cole—known in Hollywood as the “Holiday Goddess”—has made a name for herself writing heartwarming screenplays chock-full of Christmas clichés, but she has yet to experience the true magic of the season. So, when her eccentric grandmother volunteers her to direct a pageant at Georgia’s hometown community theater, she is less than thrilled. To make matters worse, she’ll be working alongside Weston James, her childhood crush and the one man she has tried desperately to forget.
Now, facing memories of a lonely childhood and the humiliation of her last onstage performance, seven years earlier, Georgia is on the verge of a complete mistletoe meltdown. As Weston attempts to thaw the frozen walls around her heart, Georgia endeavors to let go of her fears and give love a second chance. If she does, will she finally believe that Christmas can be more than a cliché?

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A light, cheery Christmas tale perfect to listen to as you tackle all those Christmas chores around the house, complete with heroes and heroines of all ages. =)
I agree with another readers impression of one of the main character's "voice," and it took me a while to like him, but I got past that pretty fast, and the story itself was lots of fun. I'm glad I got past my original hesitancy!
Nicole is a wonderful writer!! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Georgia Cole is Living in Hollywood writing wonderful Christmas stories. Stories that she has made up as none of them reflect her own Christmases. She has earned the title "Holiday Goddess" through her successes. Every year she has the month of December off and usually vacations with her grandmother, the woman that raised her. This year, though, her grandmother has cancelled the vacation and talked Georgia into coming home to assists with a benefit for a young girl with cancer. Once she gets "home" old memories are stirred up along with a stunningly handsome childhood friend. The story is well written and easy to read. The characters are very believable and easy to like. The love that is between the two main characters takes a while to be unraveled and worth the wait. A truly fun, clean, romance. **Good Reads Win
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved Georgia and Weston's story! I admire Nicole Deese for featuring the Christmas story of God's sacrificial love. I enjoyed Weston's many holiday nicknames for Georgia! ?
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/54 stars - I listened via borrowed audiobook from Everand. Narrator was okay but not great. The voice for Weston sounds like an arrogant playboy, which is very unlike the actual character. Sometimes her narration sounds boring.
This is a nice Christmas story. I love the camaraderie of the community and how the outlet of a drama production became a balm for so many. Gran’s wisdom reminded me of my own grandmothers.
The FMC had some growing up to do and I felt that was accomplished in the story. The MMC had a big heart and deserves a long-suffering prize for waiting for the one he loved. Savannah was a joy and a beacon of light for the community at large. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Cute sweet romantic story. The narrator was very entertaining and delivered and story I enjoyed listening to.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was another great story and once again I really enjoyed it and it was clean!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5My recommendation is to read the book yourself rather than listen to it. I usually prefer audiobooks. When the story is written in first person, I have a harder time. This reader is very breathy. It gives it an odd feel.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Beautiful Christmas story complete with a reminder of the true meaning of Christmas.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This was a cute Christian romance with a good message.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A Cliché Christmas was a fascinating book. It reminded me so much of a Hallmark movie… It should be one… I grabbed it on one of my few nights off… the family off doing other things and was totally involved with this story line and the characters.. I even kinda wished there had been a second one.. But alas most books end. I loved the characters so unique and completely real. The little town and its people were a joy to be introduced to.. The years of pain and frustration to only find out that she had misjudged what happened and that sweet grandmother that knew what should happen.. even the mom that I didn’t care for at all and wanted to have words with was a great character to NOT like.. I enjoyed this book very much!
