Barbra Rosenblad is an amazing reader. I've read this before, and know it also from the Bible. Yet, I found myself glued and not able to put it down. I hope she's reading the rest in the series also. What a blessing to hear her read. I love this depiction of what Tamar must have dealt with and pray to be strong and dedicated like she was - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5

The book is a solid 10. A solid. However this audio book is a 1 at best. The American pronunciations are torturous, they didn't even try learning the proper one. Tamar is NOT Taymah. Geez. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5

Francine Rivers reflects in a precise yet engaging way the biblical story of Tamar. The biblical argument itself does not change; what the author delivers in this book is a story full of passion, disappointment, strength, faith, and hope, where in a world where women could only serve men and bear children, one who becomes a widow three times does the impossible to survive and see the justice of Hebrew time fulfilled in her life.
