About this audiobook

From “the most popular mystery writer alive” (The New York Times), the twenty-seventh entry in the #1 New York Times bestselling series isn’t just the biggest case of Stephanie Plum’s career. It’s the adventure of a lifetime.

When Stephanie’s beloved Grandma Mazur’s new husband died on their wedding night, the only thing he left her was a beat-up old easy chair…and the keys to a life-changing fortune.

But as Stephanie and Grandma Mazur search for Jimmy Rosolli’s treasure, they discover that they’re not the only ones on the hunt. Two dangerous enemies from the past stand in their way—along with a new adversary who’s even more formidable: Gabriela Rose, a dark-eyed beauty from Little Havana with a taste for designer clothes. She’s also a soldier of fortune, a gourmet cook, an expert in firearms and mixed martial arts—and someone who’s about to give Stephanie a real run for her money.

Stephanie may be in over her head, but she’s got two things that Gabriela doesn’t: an unbreakable bond with her family and a stubborn streak that will never let her quit.

She’ll need both to survive because this search for “fortune and glory” will turn into a desperate race against time with more on the line than ever before. Because even as she searches for the treasure and fights to protect her Grandma Mazur, her own deepest feelings will be tested—as Stephanie could finally be forced to choose between Joe Morelli and Ranger.

This book and anything by the author is amazing. However, this file keeps skipping like a scratched cd. Very hard to listen to.

She finally are starting to dive into who Stephanie really is and what motivates her. The relationships she maintains at this stage in her life are still confusing and don't seem to be moving forward. I'm hoping she begins to dive into that more in the next installment

Predictable in a good way and funny as usual. Good for an easy listen.

A clone of the first 26. Same characters, no growth to any of them.

I love reading Stephanie Plum books. I love the characters and the laughter. If you haven't read the number series, I recommend you start with One for the Money.

Book is probably excellent as usual but quality of digitized file was so bad I couldn’t understand what was being said. I stopped after Chapter 1

I love the Stephanie Plum series and it was nice to be reunited with Stephanie, Lula, Grandma Mazur, but it felt like this book was missing something.

As always Stephanie is still town between her two men Morelli and Ranger, Lula provides her usual comic relief, and Stephanie destroys several vehicles, which is always interesting.

Stephanie seemed to be a little more introspective in this book, more so than previous books, about what she wants in life and where her life is going.

Overall, it was just an okay story, but it was a continuation of the story from the previous book. It was nice to find out the rest of the story. Narrator Lorelei King did an amazing job of telling the story and changing her voice for each character.
