What the heck even is this?? I thought I would like this because the synopsis makes it seem like a mystery novel. IT’S NOT! I liked the first part but as soon as it got to the middle where the weird plot twist is it really went downhill.

•It truly is a book that captivates you. It is very easy to read; from chapter one, you know there is a mystery, and that awakens a seed in the reader to want to discover what is hidden. However, the ending is its weak point, as it is very open and does not answer many questions raised from the beginning of the story. This book was so not for me. It is a very quick and easy read but Delia is vile. I think there was good in June but Delia just poisoned her.

I don't believe I am the target audience for this book. However, I hope that teens are not this disturbed. June seems like a decent person. Evan and Ashling might be okay and I think Sebastian wants to be good but Delia is just evil.

This was not the book I was expecting. That's not to say I didn't like this book, but rather that I didn't love it the way I had thought I would.

The first half of the book reads like a really intriguing mystery, full of lots of twists and turns. But then the book turns into something else entirely, and that's where it started to lose me. But that first half, and the intrigue of the book in general, kept me turning the pages, and I finished the book in a little over a day.

I can't say I would recommend this read, but I also wouldn't say stay away. It's an interesting book, and Weingarten clearly has potential as a writer.
