About this audiobook

Six months ago, Ty Sutherland dropped out of an online sex chat group. It was anonymous. No one knew their real identity. And it was a space where they could finally be themselves. Unfortunately, it was also a space where they fell in love with a woman whose name they promised to forget.

Leslie Brandt would like to forget the online sex chat group she joined on a whim. In real life, she's a successful realtor with a professional image to maintain. She'd never want anyone to know the kinky things she's fantasized about-even if maybe she wishes some of those things could actually happen.

When they bump into each other at an open house, Leslie thinks Ty is simply a vet student who's obsessed with horses and only came to the open house for a free cookie-all of which is true. But when the rest of the truth comes out, neither Leslie nor Ty believes there's a way forward.

Sometimes believing in love is the first step. And sometimes it's all about trusting the stars.

Loved it. I am a sucker for the "i feel an instant connection bu for some reason i can't be in a serious relationship buut in the end we live happily ever after" trope and Clevenger is a master at that.

Such a good listen! JC is a writer that pushes boundaries and opens your mind. AC is such a talented narrator. Two thumbs up.

    Good story but...
I have to say up front that I was not attracted to descriptions or scenes with Ty. I'm 100% lesbian, so a nonbinary person with a male chest is not attractive to me. Sorry if that's a spoiler. I really liked the story and it had lots of great and important plot aspects, like mental health and horses and everything, but I just ignored pretty much everything about Ty's body. It made it really hard to get into the relationship and especially the sex scenes. This book almost felt more like a straight romance than a non-binary lesbian romance, especially when Leslie is bi. I liked both characters and appreciated the relationship, but just couldn't really get into it. I listened to the audiobook and Abby Craden was excellent as always. I only caught one mistake, and don't know if it was a narrator or an author mistake, when the mare Polaris was referred to as he. The book ended well. I just wish there was a way to know how female-centric the NB character would be before reading the book. I hate to avoid NB books, but if the NB character is too masculine and doesn't have all the female parts, I'm just not that interested. If I wanted a straight romance, I'd just get one. I expect authors I'm familiar with to write about characters I can identify with and be attracted to, so I was expecting this NB character to be more female/lesbian-centric and they weren't, so that was very disappointing. The book would probably appeal to many readers, but I'm just not one of them.

I was really disappointed with the they and them wording. It was almost like she was trying to use woke wording? I found it very confusing, I usually like her writing.
