About this audiobook

Paige Dannenberg has never taken a water aerobics class. As a busy farm vet, she's never even given a second thought to water aerobics. But when she gets roped into teaching her mom's class, it's time to learn a new skillset—and fast.

Lately the unexpected is the new norm for Seren Winters. She's single, four months pregnant, and trying not to worry about where she'll be living by the end of the year. Still, the last thing she expects when she shows up for her first doctor-prescribed water aerobics class is a hot butch instructor. Even more unexpected is accidentally dunking her.

Despite an undeniable attraction, Seren is sure dating Paige is a bad idea. But can Paige change Seren's mind before her two weeks teaching the class is up?

You know that moment when you realize you have just found another author you will one-click anything from? Yep, I have that with Jaime Clevenger.

I could seriously just leave this review with "I love it, and you will too. Go get it, Now!" and call it a day, but I am sure people want to know Why they should be grabbing this one asap, you know besides an incredible (and yes, sexy as hell) vet and baby calves lol

Seren is at a crossroads in her life. At thirty-eight she is ecstatic about fulfilling her dream of becoming a mother, she is four months pregnant, and back in Davis, the town she has always wanted to get away from, and still plans on it. After her mother got sick and passed away, Seren was to stay long enough to sort the house and sell it. Things rarely work how they are planned and she is no closer to selling her mother's home or finding a permanent one for her and the baby when they come, a relationship isn't even something she will entertain.

Her doctor suggests water aerobics. Someone hi-five that doctor.

Paige has plans. She is thirty-seven, an incredible veterinarian who may work way too much, but she has a dream, to buy a farm with a large barn and at least 10 acres to house all the animals, especially cows and black cats, and she is working hard to get there.
When her mother has a fall she feels responsible and steps in to help teach the water aerobics class, even though she is clumsy with two left feet and no rhythm. Seriously, within minutes of stepping foot in the pool area, she is left fully clothed and soaking wet after Seren accidentally knocks into her, pushing her into the pool.

Neither is looking for a relationship, but they can not fight the instant attraction or ease they have together and agree on something casual, you know until it isn't. They both fall hard and fast but when things become too real, can love really be enough?

Oh, I almost forgot. I have to give some light to the side characters, While Leslie is the perfect best friend who has her moments, let's be honest, the "spicy seniors" stole the show. Everyone needs some of those women in their lives, they were beyond hilarious but also super sweet.

This would have to be one of my top reads this year, Jaime has created such a beautiful world with these two and building a friendship and more importantly, a stable relationship with growth between both women without a ton of angst and yes, I’m sure you’re wondering on the spicy level, it’s ??.
I was super sad to get to the end. Hopefully, there is a part two, I mean there is so much more that could happen. More little calves need to be birthed ??

*sigh* Just go and read it, you will not be disappointed.

At 37, Seren Winters is making a life-long dream come true – she’s four months pregnant and will be a single mom. Unfortunately, though, her mom has died, and she’s now tasked with get her house ready to sell. When her doctor recommends she take a water aerobics class, Seren reluctantly agrees to it. She has no sooner arrived at the pool for her first class than she accidentally knocks the instructor into the pool. Paige Dannenberg, a veterinarian, is stepping in for her mom as the teacher of an aerobics class when her mom falls and hurts her tailbone. Paige, who has no rhythm and no idea what to do as an aerobics instructor, runs into a student on her first day at the pool and is unceremoniously dumped, fully clothed, into the pool. Before they meet, neither woman is interested in a relationship, but fate has already ordained that they are meant to be together, and everyone knows you can’t mess with fate.

The author takes her time in building the relationship between Paige and Seren even as she is developing her characters. What she has created is one the better LesFic romances so far this year. Both Paige and Seren are likable characters, both have valid reasons for not wanting a relationship, especially Seren. Clevenger slowly lets the relationship develop in a way that has her readers invested. Seren is the better written of the two characters, and though she falls for Paige in spite of herself, she’s the one to back away.

There’s very little angst in this book which makes the story flow smoothly. Clevenger throws in humor and scenes we probably won’t see anywhere else any time soon like the birth of twin calves on the characters’ third date. The result is a very readable book that readers won’t want to put down.

If you like well-written books with characters you’ll be sorry to say goodbye to at the end of the story, then this book is for you. If you prefer your romance novels to be full of angst and drama, this probably isn’t the book for you.

My thanks to Bella Books and NetGalley for an eARC.
