About this audiobook
Welcome to Love Heart Lane…
When Flick Simons returns to the cosy village of Heartcross she only expected to stay for a few days. The white-washed cottages of Love Heart Lane might be her home, but the place holds too many painful memories, and of one man in particular – Fergus Campbell.
When a winter storm sweeps in, the only bridge connecting the village to the main land is swept away. As the villagers pull together, Flick finds herself welcomed back by the friends she once left behind. And as the snow begins to melt, maybe there is a chance that Fergus’s heart will thaw too…

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Felicity (Flick) Simons fled to London eight years ago after a miscarriage and then being told she could no longer have children. Things in London were great for a while, then she split with her new boyfriend and a new boss at her department store made her realise that she doesn't really like her job, and hasn't made any real connections or friends in London. When her gran dies, she returns to her home village of Heartcross in the Scottish Highlands for a week or two to help her mother out. Her ex-boyfriend Fergus, who she abandoned eight years ago, is still there. It's winter and and a snow storm and resulting flood cause the Grade II listed bridge over the river, the only way in and out of the village, to be swept away. This means the villagers won't be able to get any supplies in, even by boat as the river is running too high and too fast. Fergus was left heartbroken after her disappearing act, but has moved on with his life. Felicity plans to get him back, and it's her plotting and scheming to do this that makes me dislike her as the main character of this book. Disappointing when the village and other people's stories were really cute.
