About this audiobook
Halla is a housekeeper who has suddenly inherited her great-uncle's estate . . . and, unfortunately, his relatives. Sarkis is an immortal swordsman trapped in a prison of enchanted steel. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The most believable slow-burn romance and one of the most well-written female characters I've ever encountered. I love this world, I love these characters, I love this writing style. I started it over immediately after finishing.

This was so good. I was having such a rough week and I put this on and I was laughing out loud and smiling. This is such a feel good story☺️1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Well written and narrated, thoroughly n enjoyed it, very recommended.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5OMG I loved this so much! This had a bit over everything you could want in a story. And the narration by Jesse Vilinsky was excellent.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I stopped being as exited as I started out to be, when the smut showed up. It felt unnecessary, awkward(not in a good way), and a bit forced onto the pages. It IS a good book, don’t get me wrong, but it could have been great. It’s the first out of the 5 Kingfisher books I’ve read that didn’t live up to my expectations though, so I’m not discouraged to read more.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Lovely kingfisher, the voice actor’s accents though are at times criminally bad
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I love this book. It's a great slow burn romance. The reason this is only 4 stars is that the narrator kept misgendering Zale
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Another great fantasy quest romance from this author with great world building and secondary characters that run through these books. Loosely commented connected. I will say the heroine was annoying and a bit TDTL. You've been warned. The rest is gorgeous
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is the second time I've listened to this novel. It's brilliantly written, immensely entertaining, and very funny. Halla and Sarkis are wonderful characters and I'm praying to the Great God of the Weeping Lands (or those decadent southern gods, whoever will listen) that T Kingfisher aka Ursula Vernon will write a sequel about them and the "second sword" very soon.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The relationships were a little too adolescent just dragged on and on.
