About this audiobook

Throughout history, humans have sought power and knowledge from spirits. Learning how to conjure, communicate, and negotiate with these unseen powers is one of the keys to success in magic.

This book will teach you different ways of interacting with spirits, from offerings and invitations to forceful conjurations. With these tools in hand, you can work with your spirit allies to achieve any goal, from protection, to wealth, to vast knowledge.

Consorting with Spirits shares: proper training necessary for calling and conversing with spirits; how to evaluate the messages you receive; a full view of different modes of contact and what situations each mode lends itself to; why the best sorcery is local; the tools to establish and maintain a long-term relationship with spirits (consorting); the six different manifestations of spirits and their corresponding magical operations, qualities, benefits, and drawbacks; the four methods of interacting with spirits: prayer, conjuring, compelling, and evocation.

This book is the real deal. Not Wicca, not modern neopagan fluff. This is get down in the trenches old school craft as it is meant to be. As a crone who has been practicing for forty odd years and have read hundreds of books on craft, this book is stand alone the best.

Love how, unlike other authors, he isn't biased towards a certain religion. He shows an open-minded approach of Christian, Wiccan, and even Satanic/Luciferian approaches, making it the ultimate "inclusive" book for spirit consorting. A lot (well, most) authors only take the angel/oh holy jesus approach, J Miller not only presents an approach for people wanting to work with luciferian demons or pagan/wiccan gods, but also includes the traditional Christian approach. Great book if you want something a little bit more open-minded and are sick of all the angelic "mighty holy spirit" hoo rah rah out there.

I didn’t realize this book had so much to do with summoning demons. Even though that’s not necessarily something I’m interested in, I found the author had a lot of insightful information, and I liked that he was so respectful when it came to summoning spirits. I also loved the narrator’s voice. It seems to be hard to find narrators that suit my tastes and this one was very good. I’ll probably listen to it again.
