An Ohio native, Norton lived for many years in Winter Park, Florida, and died in March 2005 at her home in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

      André Norton started writing before I was born, and her books (originally written in French) never get old. She started at a time when women's works were looked down upon by men, so chose a male pen name to gain a wider audience. Bravo!
