About this audiobook

Madoff with the Money is a deeply disturbing narrative portrait of Bernie Madoff based on dozens of exclusive, news-making interviews -- beginning with his roots and the values, or lack thereof, he was taught in the Madoff home in working class Laurelton, Queens, in the '40s and '50s, to his high-life on Wall Street and in the super-rich enclaves of Palm Beach, London and the French Riviera and everywhere else he stalked, pulling off his shocking $50 billion Ponzi scheme. Through bestselling author Jerry Oppenheimers in depth reporting there will be new revelations to this startling case. Also profiled will be the dozens, if not hundreds of trusting -- and sometimes avaricious victims -- ranging from non-profit Jewish charities, to the likes of seemingly sophisticated celebrities such as Larry King and Zsa Zsa Gabor, to the brilliant French investment manager who slit his wrists after entrusting and losing $1.4 billion to one of history's all-time charlatans -- a manipulative Svengali who the author compares to psychopaths like Charles Manson and Jim Jones.
