About this audiobook

Winter Belov was the sweet, innocent one in her crime family, until one day her father does the unspeakable. When he turns his back, Winter flees across the country, taking her life savings with her, determined never to enter that sort of lifestyle again.

No longer innocent, Winter works as an exotic dancer in Nevada. While working a shift, she is persuaded to do a private gig at Breakneck. However, when Winter's eyes lock with Braxxon Breaker's, the president of Breakneck, she realizes that she is no longer free. He is everything she is running from but, at the same time, everything she wants.

Winter and Braxxon's relationship is not a normal one. If they want to be together, crimes must be committed, friendships will be broken, and people are going to die. What happens when all that chaos mixes with Winter's father locating her? There will be bloodshed when Winter and Braxxon seek revenge.

Contains mature themes.

This was my first time listening to a book by this author and I’m about to dnf it. The leading lady, Winter, did lines of coke at the start of the book, so that was already a big turn off, then when the Pres, her love interest gets her alone, he tries to give her more drugs, she tells him only one hit and he gives her way more than that, against her will, and it’s just glossed over like it meant nothing that he totally bypassed what she consented to. The male lead then gets the female lead fired from her job, because she’s “his” and he doesn’t want her stripping, but when she goes to confront him he’s getting his d*ck sucked by a club girl while 2 others make out in front of him? All this after their last sex scene he called her a “b*tch” aggressively multiple times, then intentionally doesn’t give her an orgasm in a way that makes her out to be literally just a f*ckdoll for him. I’m a fan of dark romance but when the guy is literally verbally and physically abusive (considering the drugs physical abuse) and openly cheats on the love interest?? That’s not cute or redeemable. After that scene with the three club girls, he then kisses another woman on the mouth after she arrives to the clubhouse right in front of Winter, without explanation. Why am I continuing to listen to this? He literally cheats on her again blatantly in front of her after she was recovering from being raped multiple times, a rape that was VERY detailed in its description, so major trigger warning there. He also angrily called her a "dumb bitch". HOW IS THIS MAN SUPPOSED TO BE A LOVE INTEREST? He treats her like absolute trash. Oh, the love interest also backhanded the woman who was giving him the blowjob in front of Winter and it was just brushed off like it was nothing. This book was awful with zero redemption for any of the men involved.

    DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.

3 WTF did I just read stars! I just didn't like Braxxon. I'm sure he was a very realistic representation of a biker but still.

    Me Bikers= love/hate.

He was not for me. Any time you can start off an announcement with "Brothers, friends and whores..." For real??!!

The nicknames were just awful and some of them were pretty nasty! On a positive note, Winter has more balls then the whole club combined. They should make her MC Prez...seriously! Braxxon just wasn't very sharp when it came to what was going on around him to be an effective Prez! He made a lot of rookie mistakes! Breakneck wouldn't even stand a chance against Hell's Horseman (Deuces MC) or even Chaos (Tack's MC)! In the end, Winter was just as messed up as Brax so they belonged together. I'll still follow the series because I've learned that there can be improvement. For example I hated Deuce and I'm in totally in love with Ripper... we'll see...

While the premise of the story was good, alot of things were not.

Character development was almost non-existant. Poor punctuation/grammar-though not bad-needs improvement.
    Seemingingly neverending sub-plots.

I did like the story, these things listed good much improve it. I will continue the series and hope these problems resolve-usually do as an author develops his/her writing.
