I greatly appreciate Emanuel Dagher. He is a highly evolved being with a “deep compassion and love for humanity”. As a small child, Emanuel and his mother lived in a convent for seven years during the Lebanese Civil War. He and his family emigrated to the USA from Lebanon when he was 11. He tells us “life is in feeling and appreciating the Now moment, not our To-Do List”. Our purpose in life and the meaning of life is to be happy. At the beginning of the book Emanuel provides us with three sacred mantras in Sanskrit, which he tells us have given him amazing results when he has worked with them. We can find videos on YouTube providing us with their correct pronunciation, which is important. Om gum Ganapataye Namaha This clears obstacles to a happy, healthy, prosperous life. Om shreem maha l’akshmye namaha. This attracts prosperity in all areas of life. Om brzee namaha. This attracts good fortune and abundance. Each mantra should be said 108 times, using a mala mantra necklace with 108 beads to help you keep count. I found one in a sort of alternative shop a few years ago. He explains the significance of the number 108. Emanuel describes his own process from lacking abundance to achieving it. He tells us that money’s only purpose is to bless all those it meets. We should ask money what we can do for it and not just what it can do for us. “Money is the physical embodiment of the energies of giving and receiving: the embodiment of circulation.” One way to change the energy of lack is to be of service to others. We should remember that receiving is just as important as giving. Emanuel found that one of the most powerful ingredients that prosperous people had in common was generosity. He gives the examples of Richard Branson and Oprah Winfrey. Generosity is “a key component to creating a happy, fulfilling, and abundant life”. It is useful for us to begin to carry cash in our pockets. It should be an amount that’s slightly uncomfortable for us to carry around. There are sections on the importance of rest, believing in yourself, investing in your desires, aligning your business with your personal beliefs and creating balance. We need to make time for ourselves every day, including making time to play, (I do that,) We should be on time for appointments and show up organized. We should also simplify and declutter our life, including letting go of activities which no longer interest us. Emanuel gives us a chapter on building a support network and one on practising gratitude and kindness. He encourages us to “say our morning gratitudes” and even to do a gratitude dance. Smiling releases “feel good” chemicals in the brain that activate a sense of well-being and joy. It has been proven that both smiling and seeing smiling faces actually makes us happier. We' re given a 28-day prosperity plan. This includes saying the prosperity mantras mentioned previously. Anytime Emanuel is dealing with money, he does the quick 2-step Money-Relationship Healing Process. For example, he holds the receipt of a purchase over his chest and repeats “Feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, bless those you come in contact with, and return to me manyfold.” This allows him to remember that when he allows money to circulate in and out of his life, he is in the flow and is opened up to many more blessings. The Prosperity Plan includes many valuable suggestions which help to increase one’s prosperity. Emanuel advises us to share things on social media that reflect who we are and also inspire others. This is an inspiring book which I can highly recommend that you purchase.
