Let me start by saying - I’ve listened/read a majority of Lisa’s novels and have enjoyed about 95% of them . I will continue to read her novels for as long as she keeps writing ! This one is an older one and I find some of those are hit or miss. This one in particular though was pretty slow and the female lead was super weak - the dude was kinda abusive and creepy - I really just didn’t connect to these characters. Yeah I really didn’t like the male lead ( like he wasn’t a good guy but was meant to be - ya know?) Domineering, bullying, abusive and basically as soon as he touched her she came - so it was just really unbelievable… haha. Anyway the sequel to this set I did enjoy - but you can skip this one and go find her other books !
