My first Entangled Publishing book, and I liked it!

Different story line, refreshing new kind of characters, Heather and Tony were great and felt real to me; they were both self-made, successful and at the top of their careers yet aspiring for the next big deal, but deep down they were insecure about themselves and the path their lives were taking. At the end, they were looking for the same thing: settle down, find inner peace and a pair of arms to come home to and to hold at night.

Their relationship started fast and crazy hot, but then it became very sweet and I grew fond of them and the way they fell in love with each other. Not to mention the very hot love making sessions they had.

About halfway through the sequel to this book I found myself thinking "This is what 50SoG should have been."

In this seat we have Heather. A shy, relatively inexperienced young woman who is afraid of her own sexuality. Her good friend, Carla, teases her about her lack of a love life, commiserates over her realy horrid past relationships, and convinces her to try a speed dating event in hopes of meeting the right man for her.

In the other seat we have Tony, an occasionally insensitive (and unbelievable rich) playboy who has never really cared about any of the many, many women he has dated. His friend, Marcus, talks him into going to a speed dating thing mainly so Marcus won't be there alone.

With Carla's encouragement, Heather decides this is her chance to 'try on a new skin' the result is a shock to both of them when Tony sits down at her table. Taking firm control of herself and him, Heather blows both of their minds and they both walk away from the speed dating desperate for me.

Sexting, surprise encounters, outrageous gift giving, and some really hot, mildly kinky sex follow. As Heather explores her inner sex kitten and tries to figure out who she really is, Tony waking up to the fact that his high-powered, high-paying job isn't the end-all, be-all. And then their professional lives intersect and they end up a crash course...

Mild F/m style kink with occasional hints of M/f, sexy goodness, hot strawberry scene, well developed characters who make mistakes but are trying to do right by each other, and a hell of a lot of fun.

I like C.J.'s books...I'm a fan of her V.V. Inn series also. This was a cute story of a plain-Jane trying to turn her ho-hum life around. Of course there is great sex involved (thanks, C.J.) paired with a bit of light dominance. The book is also a fairly quick read. I don't do spoilers, so I will wrap up by saying that even though I received this book in a giveaway,it is well worth it's money, for sure. I look forward to the other books to follow in this series!!!

Steamy, sweet, and more importantly, liberating, Vanilla On Top is the best erotic romance I've read in a long time. C.T. Ellisson is a fantastic writer. Fifty Shades of Grey fans need to read this and see how erotica is supposed to be done.

Try it in your most seductive voice, confident and in charge, then you’ll feel the power that Heather feels when she taps into her inner bad girl. The story isn’t really about the deception or pretending she’s something that she’s not, but the emergence of the butterfly that was hidden within. Heather is a marvelously complex character, and the reader is there with her watching her growth and metamorphosis.While Heather is on her journey, Tony is on his as well. He’s at the top of his game. A true power player in the business world, but something is missing. Jokingly looking for someone to take charge, he finds Heather at a speed dating event. Boy, does she take charge! He doesn’t even realize that this whirlwind of a girl is going to turn his life upside down. Will the smart, take charge behind the scenes girl find the confidence and drive to make her dreams come true? Will the dynamic business man find someone to pull the strings to his heart? The twists and turns will have you hanging on every word. Each chapter pulls the reader in deeper, rooting for Tony and Heather. Then there is the steam factor. Steamy! Oh my goodness, Ms. Ellisson’s natural ability to put the reader in the moment with her characters is at its best in Vanilla on Top. It’s definitely a book that you don’t want to put down and it would be wise to have a fan handy. Kudos for an excellent beginning for this series, personally I can’t wait to see what’s next for Ms. Ellisson and her characters.

My first book that I read by C.J Ellisson. It was a very quick enjoyable read! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a fast hot read! Loved the story line and the two characters Heather and Tony. I look forward to reading more about them in the future and can't wait until the next book in the series is released. C.J Ellisson has become a new favorite author and looking forward to starting her other series The Vampire Inn.

Were you intrigued by 50 Shades of Grey, read the book, and then were bitterly disappointed at the lack of well written sex and plot? Tired of all those well meaning books with lack luster romance and sex? Meet Heather and Tony in Vanilla on Top. Heather, meek, behind the scenes person learns to take control, while the strong, dominant Tony learns what it means to let others tell him what to do. This book was fast paced with a good plot and a steamy sexual side. It's well written sex and not the trashy kind. It's a dirty good time!

Vanilla on Top is on Top in more ways than one! The book is amazing from start to finish! I love that there is no whiny needy woman in this book but a woman who knows what she wants and knows how to take it. I loved the character of Heather and wow..Tony...one word..HAWT! ;) This is definitely one book you want to read... and then reread!

Not only was this book Hot and Steamy but had a great storyline as well! Heather was a woman who was very insecure of herself, but decides she needs to change! Not only do you have a woman who is learning to be secure and confident but an excellent romance story between Tony and Heather! I highly recommend and I can't wait to read more by C.J. Ellison

Turn off your phone, pour yourself a drink, and curl up because you will not be able to put this book down once you start reading. The action starts in the first chapter and it doesn't stop. Heather is tired of being a wallflower and decides to take action, and take it she does. Not only in her personal life, but also in her professional life. She doesn't whine or plot, she decides what she wants and goes after it. Tony is always in control and discovers the freedom of letting someone else have it. A well thought out and developed plot grabs you and doesn't let go. You'll be itching to take control before you are done reading.

I always enjoy Ellisson's books and VANILLA ON TOP was no exception. Her writing style is smooth and well developed. Her characters are likable, believable, sexy and very human. Heather is so like the real women I know. She's used to putting herself second and making every effort to please her man. She'd like to be different but just can't imagine how until one night when she takes a huge leap and acts in ways she never dreamed she could. With sexy, accomplished Tony, Heather is somehow able to take the lead, tell him what to do and act like she has all the confidence in the world. Ellisson has managed to keep Heather and Tony from becoming caricatures or predictable while doing a little gender bending. Tony is a strong man who is more than willing to let someone else be in charge for a change. Something he's no more accustomed to than Heather is to taking charge. Being a bit submissive with Heather doesn't make him any less macho. Heather remains sensitive while learning new assertiveness. These changes in the two are not limited to their sex life as they both make huge career changes and navigate their relationship.
