About this audiobook
Jenny’s never had much time for boys, K-pop, or really anything besides her dream of being a professional cellist. But when she finds herself falling for a K-pop idol, she has to decide whether their love is worth the risk. A modern forbidden romance wrapped in the glamorous and exclusive world of K-pop, XOXO is perfect for fans of Jenny Han and Maurene Goo.
Jenny didn’t get to be an award-winning, classically trained cellist without choosing practice over fun. That is, until the night she meets Jaewoo. Mysterious, handsome, and just a little bit tormented, Jaewoo is exactly the kind of distraction Jenny would normally avoid. And yet, she finds herself pulled into spending an unforgettable evening wandering Los Angeles with him on the night before his flight home to South Korea.
With Jaewoo an ocean away, there’s no use in dreaming of what could have been. But when Jenny and her mother move to Seoul to take care of her ailing grandmother, who does she meet at the elite arts academy she’s just been accepted to? Jaewoo.
Finding the dreamy stranger who swept you off your feet in your homeroom is one thing, but Jaewoo isn’t just any student. Turns out, Jaewoo is a member of one of the biggest K-pop bands in the world. And like most K-pop idols, Jaewoo is strictly forbidden from dating anyone.
When a relationship means not only jeopardizing her place at her dream music school but also endangering everything Jaewoo’s worked for, Jenny has to decide once and for all just how much she’s willing to risk for love. XOXO is a new romance that proves chasing your dreams doesn’t have to mean sacrificing your heart, from acclaimed author Axie Oh.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A cute K-pop contemporary romance, and I like that it features not just a singer/dancer but also a classical musician. The Seoul setting is a bit nostalgic for me. The narrator did a great job with the Korean names and phrases as well as a variety of voices.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Very predictable but still it was lovely to get to know the characters and the story
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The book itself was very cute! The narration made me feel like the characters were a bit all over the place, so I might recommend reading this one instead of listening to it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was soooo good! It's surprising that this is a debut novel, because the writing is amazing too!!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I really enjoyed this book! I liked the cellist (whatever her name was) and the K-pop star (whatever his name was).
And I'm glad they got together!
I read this book on August 21, 2022. I thought Greta Jung did a fantastic job performing this story! I thoroughly enjoyed her narration. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Really fun ya contemporary romance featuring k-pop and set in South Korea.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I really loved the concept. I am learning Korean and a big Kpop fan. I like how the audiobook reader clearly speaks Korean and English. The writing was often too simple and unnatural for my tastes. The reader also uses some obnoxious voices for Angela and other side girls.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Incredible. Voice acting, story building, ending. All fire. You need to listen to this.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5this was unbelievably cringe. It felt it was written in English class over a year. “I go here and I do this” and my gosh. I don’t even know who this is targeted at. Only listened because couldn’t find anything else starting with X

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/53.5 stars rounded up.. Everyone on #bookstagram knows how much I love Kdrama.. this is a cute feel good story that is everything someone who is Seoul #obsessed loves. I wish we had gotten more of Jae woo 's POV, because every girl swoons for a Kdrama star ..I was waiting for the slow tear at first kiss that fell a little flat. The background description, the concert experience, the city and food of Seoul made this an immersive experience see my good reads or angelsmomreads for my complete review
