- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I no longer remember how this book came to me. I don't remember buying it (used) so I suspect a friend sent it to me. I remember reading a few books by Charles Swindoll in the past--mostly because the titles that seemed to reference tennis intrigued me.I would call this a devotional. There's a title, followed by a Bible verse, followed by a short, one page thought. These thoughts seem to be pulled from about 22 other titles written by Swindoll. (I do not know if they are taken verbatim from those books or if some editing was done to shorten the thoughts to fit on a single page.)I read this over a long period of time--usually 2-4 entries at a time--so I can't really remember much of the wisdom that struck me--though I do remember writing a few thoughts down in a journal as ones I wanted to ponder.
