About this audiobook
In the face of a crisis that sweeps an entire high-tech planet back to the age before electricity, the Brannings face a choice. Will they hoard their possessions to survive—or trust God to provide as they offer their resources to others? #1 bestselling suspense author Terri Blackstock weaves a masterful what-if series in which global catastrophe reveals the darkness in human hearts—and lights the way to restoration for a self-centered world. As the Pulses that caused the outage are finally coming to an end, thirteen-year-old Beth Branning witnesses a murder. Threatened by the killer, she keeps the matter to herself. But her silence could cost her life. Meanwhile, as Deni’s ex-fiancé returns to Crockett with a newfound faith and the influence to get things done, Deni is torn between the man who can fulfill all her dreams and Mark Green, the man who inhabits them. As the world slowly emerges from the crisis, the Brannings face their toughest crisis yet. Will God require more of them than they’ve already given? How will they keep their faith if he doesn’t answer their prayers?

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was a thought provoking series and I appreciated how the author brought it to a conclusion with this story. I must admit that at times I became very frustrated at a few of the characters at times and just wanted to close the book and not go back, but alas, I had to see what would happen next. This story also brought tears to my eyes as I wasn't expecting this to happen in this story (won't spoil anything by giving anything away here), but felt the author did a great job of showing how the Lord took a very bad and horrible situation and brought forth good from it. In this final book the power will once again slowly start to resume for the country. But in the mean time evil will be seen, fear will be experienced and love will grow. There will be grief, but joy will come and lives will be changed. A story that will stick with me long after I have read it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love love love this series!!!! But this had to be my least favorite. For one it is the end of the series, I feel like I lost a bunch of friends when I turned that last page. It was also the most depressing book in the series. After all that the Branning family has been through you would think that things would start turning around when the pulses stop and electricity starts to be restored. However things get worse for the Branning family. It tests everyone in the areas faith. In the end it all was for a purpose like all things in life but it was still sad!! I rated it 5/5
