I've been married 14 years, so my opinion may not "count" to some. I listened to this book because my hubby and I are working with a engaged couple in preparation for their marriage. I think the information is valuable, relatable, reasonable, and implementable. It is comprehensive without being overwhelming. The research behind the work makes it even more believable to skeptics of any of the tips. The only frustration I had when listening was the many times the authors paused to send the listener to the workbooks or the assessment (almost seeming to advertise/sell them). However, I suppose if you are using one or both of those concurrently while listening, you need that.
