The premise of the novel was good, but I’ve never seen a whinier character than the narrator. That combined with unnecessary plot twists that are drug out, reduce it from a 5 to a 3 star book.

Real special story, the protagonist is totally out of the normal, it is difficult not to get angry at her and her choices. As she has lived her whole life in one of the poorest quarters in London her naivity is a little questionable.
But the storyline is so well written, that you simply must read the novel to the end.
