Telling the story of the generations and the history I was a part of was rewarding, thought provoking and memorable.

Amanda Wen is an amazing author. She weaves her stories to make the reader feel they are part of the story. My advise is just listen or read her books you won't be disappointed.

Two books by this author and 5 stars for each!

It is a beautiful story with so many layers. I only give five stars to books that really impact me. I listened to the audiobook to both. The narrator does a great job.

I was glad to listen to Lauren’s story a few months after listening to the first book in this series. I enjoyed all the characters with their strengths and flaws and raw honesty. As a bonus, there was Rosie’s story woven throughout with the love between a black man and a white woman. So inspirational! Yet, it is tragic that the world has ever had to endure racism from any colour toward any colour.

This book had so many parts working together - mystery/intrigue, romance, personal battles and scars, the best and worst of mankind, and the grace and majesty of God.

Amanda Wen has become a favourite author. My only complaint is that I have to wait for the next book!!! ?
