    WOW!!!! Just W-O-W!!!!!

Right from the start, I felt transported back and forth between two time periods. The stories were so real that they played like a meshed movie in my head.

The historical part reminded me of my love for “Little House on the Prairie” with a dependence and reliance on God. The contemporary part showcased two main characters with very real and relatable character flaws and struggles that God lovingly shaped throughout the story.

There was mystery, romance, history, intrigue, sentimentality, and much more. The stories were written with such love, and after hearing the Author’s Note at the end, I understood why.

Thank-you to the teacher who once encouraged the author to publish this story one day so that we could all enjoy it.

This was a new-to-me author that will remain on my radar. I listened to the audio version, but I ordered the actual book to have in my collection forever.

I really liked this book. The author does a great job of time jumping back and forth. The characters are so believable and warm. I was captivated from the very beginning. I see there is a sequel so I’m going to get that as soon as it’s released.

I love how the book found all the journals and brought out Grannie-Annie's life and how it tied into the homestead in Sedgwick, KS. I am in Hutchinson, Ks, and have spent a lot of time in Wichita, so I added a lot of interest To the book!

Historical fiction based on the author's ancestors. It's a dual timeline format. It shows the importance of family and roots and that sometimes the roots are made of wood and stone so a family home.
