About this audiobook
Adam Sass
Adam Sass began writing books in Sharpie on the backs of Starbucks pastry bags. (He’s sorry it distracted him from making your latte.) Though he was raised in an Illinois farm town, his desire for a creative career took him to Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, and currently, North Carolina, where he lives with his husband and dachshunds. When he’s not dropping hot takes on Twitter, Adam is a recurring co-host on the popular Buffy the Vampire Slayer podcast Slayerfest98. Surrender Your Sons is his first novel.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I’m honestly amazed with this story. Thought provoking. Depressing. Happy ending. Nothing is brushed over, nothing is left out. This story gave me everything that I needed. One of the best books I’ve ever read. And the thing that brings me joy above all, is the neat and tidy ending. Every question answered. I feel fuller after reading this.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Good story, albeit the geographic and cultural representations of Costa Rica are a bit off.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book is a must read. Connor’s story of coming into his queerness and learning about his internalized homophobia as well as being faced with all the homophobia around him is heavy and at times are to cope with but this a truth for so many people in the LGBTQ+ community. Unfortunately the most difficult part of this book for me was the narration, I found Connor came of as very whiny and a bit unlike able where I think if I had read the actual book I would have enjoyed it more.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Such a beautiful and underrated book, not so good at English so I don’t know how to explain but the plot and writing style is really good, page turning too, not just a good massage but really entertaining (have quite a sad moment so be warned), hope this book get so much more recognition.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. Horrifying, funny, and sweet all in one book.
