About this audiobook
“An uncharacteristic warning from one of the most respected, non-partisan journalists in the world” —Jake Tapper, CNN
“It was riveting. I couldn’t get enough of it.” —Gayle King, CBS Mornings
The Trump Tapes explodes with the exclusive, inside story of Trump’s performance as president—in his own words as he is questioned, even interrogated by Woodward, on the president’s key responsibilities from managing foreign relations to crisis management of the coronavirus pandemic.
This is the job Trump seeks again. How did he do the first time? This is the authentic answer, laying bare his repeated failures, obsessions, and grievances.
The Woodward interviews take a reader to a reporter’s laboratory meticulously examining the Trump presidency like never before—spellbinding and devastating.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is great because you hear trump's afflictions in his own words. Psychiatric studies should use these tapes to explain and give examples to diagnose personality disorders. The man and his demons on tape. He describes himself clearly in all his name calling. The best part is it is all recorded for all to hear and acknowledge if they are willing to admit to themselves how truly dangerous trump is as a person with power. I am reading Peril next.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I’m only 50 minutes in and 5 stars without a doubt. I’m certain that the remaining 20 chapters will not disappoint. I just want to say to Bob Woodward - god bless you man...sitting through just one of these rants without flipping a table is truly crazy making for any thinking person. this must have taken such a heavy toll on your genius mind, for this thank you. and importantly thank you for sharing this *now,* for adding his vitriolic words to the historical record, and finally for giving us such a masterclass in how to interview or simply talk & truly listen to anyone (even psychos) effectively.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Trump is a dangerous dictator and needs to be in jail for his criminal activity.
I don't know how Bob Woodward listened to these crazy rants without losing his mind, but I thank Bob for always presenting truth.4 people found this helpful

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5People will hear what they want to hear in these recordings, that is human nature. It is fascinating to hear both of them in their own words rather than distilled thru a book. I am about 1/3 of the way thru and looking forward to hearing the remainder.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Bob knows his audience. It is composed of Americans with a mental illness. The anti capitalism mentality. The mass of americans are thrilled to see Trump destroyed. Envy and resentment ooze from the baloney five star rating reviews. These listeners worship Woodward. Because the leftists in America do not live on government largess alone. They need a devil. And Trump gave their life meaning. He 'woke' them up. Trump is evil. Trump gave their meaningless empty human hating, western civilization rejecting, totalitarian loving anti capitalists meaning.
So excited to see Trump torched. The listeners don't care to know that Woodward was a CIA operative. That Woodward represents the lefts finest when it comes to degrading individualism and property rights. The listeners don't care that Woodward is a liar. That Woodward undermined reputations. That Woody like CIA operatives every where wasn't required to be honest ethical or moral. And the leftist cheerleaders don't care. Because their hatred of individualism and capitalism rots their brain. They are unable to think. But love to hate. Love to blame anyone but themselves for the crap that is happening in our culture. Love to punish anyone who outperforms them in life. The solution is to give their heroes medals and honors. The lovers of Woodward have a self contempt they refuse to acknowledge.
