About this audiobook

#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

Cassidy Hutchinson’s desk was mere steps from the most controversial president in recent American history. Now, she provides a riveting account of her extraordinary experiences as an idealistic young woman thrust into the middle of a national crisis, where she risked everything to tell the truth about some of the most powerful people in Washington.

Ever since a childhood visit to Washington, DC, Cassidy Hutchinson aspired to serve her country in government. Raised in a working-class family with a military background, she was the first in her immediate family to graduate from college. Despite having no ties to Washington, Hutchinson landed a vital position at the center of the Trump White House.

Her life took a dramatic turn on January 6th, 2021, when, at twenty-four, she found herself in one of the most extraordinary and unprecedented calamities in modern political history.

Hutchinson was faced with a choice between loyalty to the Trump administration or loyalty to the country by revealing what she saw and heard in the attempt to overthrow a democratic election. She bravely came forward to become the pivotal witness in the House January 6 investigations, as her testimony transfixed and stunned the nation. In her memoir, Hutchinson reveals the struggle between the pressures she confronted to toe the party line and the demands of the oath she swore to defend American democracy.

Enough reaches far beyond the typical insider political account. It’s the saga of a woman whose fierce determination helped her overcome childhood challenges to get her dream job, only to face a crisis of conscience—one that more senior White House aides tried to evade—and, in the process, find her voice and herself. This is a portrait of how the courage of one person can change the course of history.

Who would think the grownup in the room who would play a crucial role in saving American democracy would be a 25-year-old woman from the boonies of central Jersey? Thank you Cassie Hutchinson for your integrity and courage! And thanks for sharing your vivid account of the chaos created by a 70-something baby.

I just finished listening to ENOUGH by Cassidy Hutchinson.
A lot of people are coming out and will be coming out with books about djt (I still refuse to capitalize his name or initials), and most of them will be like this one, telling how misguided they were and had high hopes for a man who from the moment he was born, expressed nothing but a desire to make himself the biggest and best sensation the world has ever known.

The author grew up in a republican household, where her family adored 45. In listening to her story I want to believe that she started out wanting to work for the good of America. I just wonder how she missed who he was Before he was running for POTUS during and certainly after. It just boggles my mind that ANY woman who votes or wants to work with him given the negativity with which he describes, insults and attacks women.
Even with everything that went on, the things she saw and heard she still did not back away. ( her good friend Alssa Farah did.)

Even after she was out of the white house and on her own and being asked to testify, She still wondered what he (djt) was thinking and saying. Of course his answers were: “I hardly knew her” and calling her awful names.
She was lucky to have found attorneys to represent her Pro Bono, because that is quite impossible. Her father was a bit of a nutcase and although she sought his love all her life, she never really got it no matter what she did. He never complimented her on her accomplishments and seemed to take pleasure in mentally and emotionally tormenting her. (Kind of how djt treats his sons.)

I will say this, judging by her account of working with Mark Meadows, I would say she was a thousand times smarter than he was. It was almost as if SHE should have had HIS job and he should have been the assistant.
I adore the way she handled Ted Cruz, she did not back off him one bit, no matter what he said or how he threatened her. Her handle of that creepy Matt Gaetz, on several occasions was priceless.

Cassidy is a brave young woman who pulled herself away from a decadent institution, vowing to save herself and her belief in the constitution. Being a republican politician is not a sin and not all of them are bad, but are acting in way that goes against the very fabric of the oath they ALL took, with hands on a bible to uphold.

I applaud her for loving her party but not standing by while THEY stood by and allowed one of the most egregious events in modern history to happen.
    Well worth the read.

Ittakes courage to write a book about something like this and to speak out especially when you come from the male-dominated background such as she did. The story about her father and his buddies blasting a turtle into tiny bloody pieces for their own entertainment tells me all I need to know about the group she was raised in. I consider Behavior like that monstrous. They were using it for Target practice when that's what Coke cans are for. Afterward he had the nerve to tell his child that that was a circle of life and unless he was going to be a wimp she had to learn to do the same. They didn't eat that turtle they shattered it for the sheer fun of it. That's not the circle of life that's human psychopathy! Heartless. And that's the sword who would support Trump as he made a bid for dictator of America. This is a bit of a rent for a book review but before warned that's a very disturbing part of it and I think it is important to know what you're getting into.

In the book talked a lot about anecdotes that I’m sure the author found to be glittery. I’m glad she was able to put principal before party because the Republicans don’t stand for anything anymore. But she could’ve saved the whole book and just testify.

I loved the audio version. Hearing Cassidy speak on her trials & tribulations during & after the trump admin was enthralling and dare I say crazy. The relationship with her dad was heartbreaking. A great read leading up to the fall of a god-awful presidency & the remnants that still remain. Cassidy seems to be in a good place in life now. I believe we’ll see her in government in the future. A very talented young lady with professional skills & knowledge well beyond her age.

Well written and extremely well narrated. Ms. Hutchison is a highly intelligent woman and, indeed, as she states in her book, has a mind like a steel trap. The epilogue brought me to tears (last sentence). I congratulate the employer who is bright and forward thinking enough to hire this young prodigy and give her a position she deserves. She will shine! (ps Liz Chaney, are you listening? Need someone to run a successful campaign for President one day? Ms. Hutchison would be stellar to lead your campaign!)

I thought she was very brave and intelligent. I cannot believe people still believe in the steal, or still support trump in ANY way. and shame on Republicans for supporting the lies and behavior to end democracy. matt Gaetz needs to go to jail. margery Taylor Green, kevin Mccarthy, and mitch mcconnell need to be ashamed of themselves and taken out of office.

Highly recommend!!! Cassidy Hutchinson walked through the story of her life in this audiobook with dignity, integrity and honor. I could feel the chills on my arms a few times as I listened to the love she has for her country and the struggles she endured pretty much every step of her life. I watched her on TV during the hearings and thought how brave this woman was to speak the truth despite exposing herself to the ridicule of the Trumpsters, and I didn’t even know half of the story! She had been through so much!!

Cassidy is extremely loyal and those in her life who have betrayed her, failed her and refused to be loyal to her, truly do not deserve to be part of such an amazing young woman’s life. They are the losers!! I hope the next chapters of her life are filled with happiness!!

Very well written and very well narrated by the author.

A great insider's look at the Trump administration, which confirms all or virtually all of the reporting that has been previously done on it.

Sadly, in spite of the author's experience and treatment, she is still a Republican and even more, an enormous fan of Reagan.

The vast majority of the damage to American democracy (in all of its branches) can be traced to Republican presidents, senators and congressmen.

Cassidy! You are so beautiful and powerfully endowed with true grit!!!
True grit in being a good and honest to the core American woman. As a Canadian neighbour who engages in watching closely what’s going on south of the border, I was amazed that ‘what’s his name’ was elected in the first place and now to see his success in the poles is beyond my understanding. I truly congratulate you on what you succeeded in doing and very hopefully he will be in jail before too long. A very sad time in American politics! We pray for your leader Pres Biden! I believe he is a good and great politician. Take care Cassidy ! Good luck in future ?❤️?
