About this audiobook

Lizzie Marlowe had as many missions as she had lives.

A masterful tale of multiple timelines; one woman, split between four lives…

Elizabeth Marlowe has always known she was different—even from others with psychic abilities. She doesn’t merely glimpse past or future lives, she lives multiple lives concurrently. She is L’Bet, a druid priestess holding out against the Roman invasion. She is Lizzie, a headstrong Victorian plumbing the depths of both science and Spiritualism. She is Beth, a Royal Air Force pilot fighting in World War II. And she is Captain Liz, a starship commander forging a path through the stars.

But being different comes with danger. Liz is determined to make it on her own, hiding her unusual ability from all but one trusted companion in each life. Yet, she is haunted by an ominous warning from her old mentor, Saire: Someday they’ll fear you. People fear what they cannot understand, and it is only a matter of time before those with psychic powers are targeted for their difference. When that happens, Liz will have to choose between her life of independence and saving the community she rejected long ago.

Return to the world of Leanna Renee Hieber’s Dark Nest trilogy with the start of a new series that spans eras and galaxies!

Editor's Note

Four Timelines, Four Threats...

In this innovative SF/F novella (the start of a series), a woman exists simultaneously in four timelines, ranging from Druidic times to the future, where she's the captain of a spaceship. As if that wasn't enough, she is being hunted in each of the four and has to wage her counterattack on four different timelines. Hieber's flair for depicting the worlds she writes--whether Victorian England or out in the stratosphere--makes the story come alive.

Story is OK but the reader is terrible. No emotion and rants.

Loved all the action! Vivid detail kept me anchored in the story, even when it shifted in time. Cannot wait to dive into the next installment.

God I really wish The author would stop doing short novels and just give me full blown length novel as this story deserves to be a proper series….
I am not a huge fan of sci-fi and tend to shy away from but this series had me hooked on it… 1st with the dark nest trilogy which was way too short as well and now this spin off trilogy.
Really recommend it to ppl wanting to explore this genre.

I usually like time travel, but like almost nothing happens the entire book, just the main character going on an on about pointless dribble. Would not recommend this book, and I won't be continuing the series
