About this audiobook

Inside the minds of the world's most depraved serial killers

Sunday Times bestselling author Christopher Berry-Dee is the man who talks to serial killers. A world-renowned investigative criminologist, he has gained the trust of murderers across the world, entered their high security prisons, and discussed in detail their shocking crimes.

The killers' pursuit of horror and violence is described through the unique audiotape and videotape interviews which Berry-Dee conducted, deep inside the bowels of some of the world's toughest prisons.

Christopher Berry-Dee has collated these interviews into this astounding, disturbing book. Not only does he describe his meetings with some of the world's most evil men and women, he also reproduces, verbatim, their very words as they describe their crimes, allowing the reader a glimpse into the inner workings of the people who have committed the worst crime possible - to mercilessly take the life of another human being.

I thought it was ok until the author began to praise the Black Lives Matter movement and just couldn’t take him seriously after.

The book would have been much better had the author not repeatedly used it as a platform for criticizing Americans, and for pushing his left-leaning political views.

Author chose this platform to insert his personal feelings about our POTUS, DONALD TRUMP. Completely unacceptable! Keep your politics out of your "scientific and journalistic" works. Despicable and disgusting, much like the psychopaths he wrote about. So vile to interject a FOREIGNER'S viewpoint into AMERICAN POLITICS. You are no better than the Marxist, twisted, media who spew their personal hatred for someone they've likely never met. I will not read or listen to another of this CHARLATAN' S GARBAGE. How professional would it be for me to interject all kinds of derogatory perceptions or opinions about Queen Elizabeth in a supposedly "journalistic" or scientific review of royalty? Ugh.

I have an interest in the workings of the minds of these people, I did enjoy the book but could have done without the BLM and Covid reminders sick to death of this as it is, don’t need it here too.

Got half-way through 1st chapter before I got tired of his anti-American, anti-police and pro BLM tripe. I got this to satisfy my morbid curiosity about serial killers, not listen to some lefty spew his politics! Garbage.

Very political in parts (nothing to do with murder). Many swear words used. Interesting when he sticks to the facts of the cases but can't help getting political.

The author being up to date on social issues really made this book better to read. I dont really trust men that are into true crime but he sounds well educated and actually spoke to some of these monsters so I trust his judgement. I listened to it as an audiobook and the narrator was fantastic too. Just a good read and it really did highlight the horrors of these crimes. Hes right. Theyre going straight to hell and hopefully get what they deserve in the afterlife. ☆

Just another conservative bashing, trash talking, pseudo intellectual, who thinks his political views mean something. Would possibly be a good read if not for the constant personal feelings sprinkled in wherever it could be. I didn't choose to listen to this book because I missed another NPR episode... Worst of all you're bashing a country you're not even a part of. Truly sad...
