About this audiobook
The depraved crimes of both real and imagined serial killers and mass murderers have long transfixed us in newspapers and books, but perhaps nowhere more so than on the big screen. Films such as Silence of the Lambs, Psycho and Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer have not only reached huge audiences but also allowed us into the minds of society’s most disturbed individuals.
Bestselling author, Christopher Berry-Dee, talks to the serial killers whose wicked stories have most thrilled and fascinated us at the movies and, through far-ranging and disturbing interviews, he tells the stories of the mass murderers who provided the inspiration for some of cinema’s most shocking films.
Serial Killers at the Movies takes the reader on an uncomfortable and truly dark journey into a lurid world of murder and deviancy.

Reviews for Serial Killers At The Movies

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved it, well written with passion as well as humour
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5While the introduction and theme are interesting (and the first few chapters are relatively smooth) the book deteriorates, becomes confusing and disjointed. It skips all over the place with little or no transition between topics. I also caught numerous factual errors, even though I'm just an amateur reader of true crime. Perhaps worst of all, the author repeatedly scolds various writers and film makers for exploiting victims of crime...then spends a huge portion of the book promoting his own writing and projects. (I don't know if I've ever heard the words "my" and "I' used so much in a discussion of true crime.)
I'm not sure why I finished this, perhaps because it was a mesmerizing trainwreck?
