- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This story does not concern the legendary Big Foot of the American northwest. It is set in rural England where Superintendent Minter has been banished from Scotland Yard for his habit of frequently criticizing his superiors, and, what is worse, being right.the case begins with an odd burglary by two strange tramps, but turns into a murder case when the housekeeper of an amateur detective (who dislikes Minter) is murdered and abnormally large footprints are found at the scene. There is an introduction by Penelope Wallace giving a brief account of Edgar's writing career.
