John A. Russo's novelization of the screenplay of Night of the Living Dead (1968) which he originally co-wrote with director George A. Romero is an opportunity to experience all the horror and terror of the movie in a new medium, a novel. The story works in any medium, as a short story, as a screenplay, and as horror fiction. A good story is a good story, no matter how you tell it or retell it, and in whatever form. Night of the Living Dead is an iconic horror story that is just as good as a novel as it is a movie. I highly recommend this novelization and Michael Reave's performance.
