There's only one thing you need to know about Ophelia Sokolov. She was promised to me, not my brother. And I'll do anything in my power to make her mine. She's my future. My destiny. My f*cking property.

If you are looking four a very very dark romance…this one is for you. Be warned it contains a great deal of sexual violence and trauma! It does have an intriguing story with unexpected twists and turns…it is quite unique!

This is a series .. so expect a cliffhanger. I have never listened to anything quite like it. But it is not for the faint of heart!

Women with stockholm syndrome, abused, severely submissive and low self esteem. No good men in this book. All abusive mentally and physically, kidnappers, rapist and murderers. I wouldn't exactly call it a romance novel. It's still a good read. Unrealistic for love. The women need more therapy and psychiatric help than love. She fell in love with a man that raped her, kept her in a cage and naked for 5 years after aiding in the murder of entire family. This was far from romantic but I'll read the other books because it was entertaining. How can the "hero" be the rapist, kidnapper and murderer???

Well sheesh! Talk about the plot twist you knew was coming but still were shocked about. Please listen to the prequel before listening to this book it makes so much sense. I don’t even know where to begin…with the twins you want to hate them and love them after everything they’ve been through. Then you have Cain who you just want to hate until you dont. Ophelia you just kind of want to just shake her and knock some sense into her. I’m hoping she gets a backbone in the next book. Yeah this book has me in its claws can’t wait to listen to the rest of the series.
