- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The last part to this particular trilogy. It was completely gut wrenching. It picks up right at the end of the last book so needless to say, AB spent this entire book dragging out the truth about what happened to Marek. So we're on the edge of our seats with tears every chapter. The good thing about this is that we see a new love develop, that of a sub to be mommy and her boyfriend's daughter. Watching Tinley build her relationship with Luna was so beautiful. Luna was basically the bridge between Tinley, Dakota and Marek's sister. AB did a really great job showing how strong women are and how they rally around each other. Good end to the story. Not the best but it was good.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Here we are again at the end of a duet/trilogy and I find myself unable to write a review for Book 1 (Dating In the Dark) and Book 2 (Sinking in the Shadows) without pulling Book 3 into the discussion.
Marek and Tinley pulled me in from Book 1. I loved the concept of how they met along with the enemies to lovers aspect of the storyline. Book 1 kept me engaged and entertained to plow onto Book 2 because cliffhanger. (More on that in a minute)
Books 2 & 3 delivered a bit more drama into the story. Subplotlines had you wondering about what's up with the best friend. Luna was a perfect addition to keep me entertained. To be honest, the hero is missing from majority of storyline development between the last two books. The plot is focused on Tinley and her journey through the situations. For me, I want the relationship development along with all the hearts and flowers so I wished for more that and less of the subplotlines.
Cliffhangers: Okay yes, each book ends on one. Not dramatic where you are stuck. But now a decision, do I move on? Which I applaud the story development for not leaving readers feeling unfulfilled. Possibly I could be feeling this way as I was able to binge on the trilogy. But for those picking it up now, you are armed with the knowledge of a HEA without sleepless nights.
This author has delivered an entertaining story that my angsty followers will enjoy.
