that's life!

Welcome!

Don’t you hate it when you’re out with friends and you head to the ladies only to find that there is a piece of spinach stuck in your teeth? Or that team, the answer was a resounding YES! In fact, for a few of us, the whole getting something stuck in your teeth thing is an ongoing issue. Beth admits to being slightly paranoid about it. Her partner, Suddy, now gives her a cheesy grin back whenever she stares at him like a Cheshire cat – which is code for ‘anything there?’ when they are out with company. I trained my youngest stepson, Tom, from a very early age to look out for me on that front. He’s 29 now, but if I’m with him, I’m totally comfortable that he will let me know. And it’s not just stuff in the teeth, is it? There are plenty of times when it is beholden on you as a good friend, or good stranger, to let someone know if they have toilet paper on their shoe, or have inadvertently tucked their skirt into the back of their undies. Rachel told us of the time she noticed a woman striding purposefully through a crowded train station, completely unaware that the back of her dress had disappeared into her undies. Rachel, of course, sprang into action and raced to the woman’s side. She did so just as another good citizen was also rushing to tell her. And, of course, they both arrived at precisely the same moment. The startled woman screamed, but as soon as she found out what all the commotion was about, she was very grateful. As would we all! So please do answer Danielle’s question; what would you do in such a situation?
