About this audiobook

Let yourself be carried away to a grandiose SciFi world by USA Today Bestselling Author Jenny Foster. The original story "The Captive" led to a novel, and three additional volumes followed. With this collection you are finally holding all four Betania Breed single SciFi romance novels, mysterious background material included. In over 25 hours, you will be up close and personal on an adventurous and dramatic voyage through the universe.

The Captive

I am one of the few people who hasn’t given up the fight against the Sethari yet. I would rather die than surrender to the aliens who have enslaved us humans for more than one hundred years. Then the unthinkable happens: I am awarded to the leader of the aliens, so I can bear him healthy, viable children.

The Prey

Johar is the most merciless and successful bounty hunter there is. His reputation is legendary, for he has never let any prey slip through his fingers. His creator's beautiful daughter hates Johar and lets him feel it every waking minute. But Johar knows something about her that nobody else knows. Not even she herself.

The Human

Talon Delkhari was the mightiest warlord of his people, until he dared to contradict his king. Instead of granting him an honorable death, the king made him his chamberlain. His newest conquest is from Earth, and Talon is supposed to deliver her safely to his bed. An easy assignment. That's what he thought, anyway, until this human woman awakens the predator lurking under his skin.

The Dragon

Coran Burke is an elite undercover agent from Earth. The tough and emotionless fighter has never failed. His new mission leads him to Dassuria where he is pursuing a dangerous dragon lord. At the center of his investigation is a woman who has a lot to hide - but despite her entanglement with the dragon lord, Coran can't get her out of his head.

Dark. Powerful. Sexy. This will be a ride you won't want to miss.

This book was not for me. I found it very hard to relate to the main female character, she made weird choices. There were odd jumps in the story that made it quite disconnecting for the reader.

I did not like this book because of the lack of commitment the female lead had. She did not have a back bone to be convincing ? and I do not like cheating who wants to read about that and it needs a better warning

Who the heck thinks... Let's make cheating a sensible option for the main female character????

Moreover, there was no clear chemistry in this book to call it romance. This is absolutely sloppy work. Whoever did the editing needs to watch some videos or read a book on how to edit romance.

Finally, as an author, it's your sole duty to double-check your work to make sure it's something of quality.

Absolutely wasted my time listening to this book. It had potential before the authors decided to pass the female lead around like a whore!

After this book, I need a palate cleanser. Next time, leave a damn disclaimer to warn people about cheating in your books.

This series was very hard to read, it took me a very long time to read it, simply because I would have to stop because I would get angry at the characters, especially the main character. I feel like all the main characters that were female, which was three out of four of the books were very irritating, and very hard to connect to. although I do like the fact that the author made all four books connected and even rounded it off with connecting it to the first book. I also like how we got to points of you in the last book seeing how the female feels and how the male thinks. I didn’t mind the cheating, however, I do not care for making decisions without your loved ones, and dragging them along, which might hurt them, I would literally scream “just communicate!” .which is why I from my low starts I think the author is going in the right direction, and I hope to read more of her books, but this one was a hard read

Ok, so I have fallen in love with this series. I can not wait for dasquians to show up in the future. To bring everything in. So far, I've already got the twins in my imagination, having twins of their own soon. How hard and wonderful parenting is for each couple as life continues. Also, mom and dad have another child / twins they can raise together..... I wish I was a writer and could pull it off but I'm not.......

Enjoy this series I know it seems different but it's all amazing in the end
Ps some one plz write about life continuing for the couples

If you like the unexpected, then this science fiction saga is for you. I must say that the very first volume was not my preferred one due to the cheating part but it was full of twists and turns. The three other volumes are the continuation of the first one with different hero’s and heroines and they can be read separately. The happy ending only comes at the very end of the series which was the reason why I kept listening the stories till the very end. In my opinion, the happy part of the series is very very short considering all the cliff hangers of each volume. The author explains her choice of ending after the end of the series, but I think that an epilogue would have been nice too!

SPOILER ALERT Where to start…I got these four books for free through a monthly subscription service otherwise I wouldn’t have listened to them all. I thought that the cast that read them did a great job, the various characters were distinctive and acted out well. However the books were poorly written. There are TONS of gaps in the story. For instance, we learned at the end of the last book that the parents of the twins were alive, the mother in some sort of coma where she could interact with others and the father cruising the universe, yet never once did they get their kids? It’s not possible, there isn’t a parent in the world that would act that way. Mom could have done her psychic brain magic to contact them, as she was in contact with the soul sucker the entire time. Her kids were kidnapped and tortured, wtf? Dad was alive and well the entire time too, again wtf? All the money floating around, not to mention all the people that know about the existence of the “holy grail” spaceship, yet it took dad thirty years to find it?? Really? Not a single sighting?

I just found the entire series unbelievable, completely far fetched, and lacking in common sense. Everyone has a “beloved” within 24 hours, it’s so ridiculous, like a Brady Bunch episode where everything is wrapped up in a neat little package in thirty minutes, but the author thought that the four family members meeting up at the end of book four would “ruin the whole series”? I don’t even have to read the next one, I already know what’s going to happen. Two characters meet by happenstance, fall in love in less than a minute, call each other “beloved” so much it will make you wretch, overcome some overblown and anticlimactic evil and live happily ever after….but not too happily, that would ruin the whole series.

I have seen the author refer to these as "Space Opera's" and that is pretty accurate... Or Romantic Tragedy.... Etc.... Sad endings.

(SPOILERS!!! DO NOT READ BELOW IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW!)

If you want stories with happy endings give these a miss! They are well written, and I didn't have an issue following them at all... My issue is that these are basically tragic love stories.... None of the main couples have good endings, and one couple had a truly tragic ending (the first couple Cassie and Khazzar at the end of the second book)the third and forth books are the stories of their twins and their lives without their parents. The second book is tied in in a different way as the point of view of the people sent (by the doctor at the end of the first book) after Cassie and her babies. I was not prepared and would have held off on these until in the mood for something emotional had I known what to expect.

It was okay until the main female lead decided cheating was just the thing to do. I mean seriously. Her reasons were just excuses. I wasted a few hours of my time because after that you lost me.
