About this audiobook
Two weeks.
That's how long it took for Avery West's ordinary life to change forever. In two weeks, she discovered she was heiress to a powerful secret society known as the Circle, learned her mother was taken hostage by the Circle's enemies, and fell for a boy she's not allowed to love, just as she found out another was her unwelcome destiny.
Now Avery crosses oceans in private jets to hunt for clues that will uncover the truth about the Circle, setting her mom and herself free before it's too late. By her side are both the boys: Jack-steady, loyal, and determined to help her even at the expense of his own duty-and Stellan, whose connection to Avery grows stronger by the day, making her question what she believes at every turn.
But at the end of a desperate hunt from the islands of Greece to the red carpet at Cannes comes a discovery that not only changes everything, but could bring the whole world to its knees. And now Avery is forced to face the truth: In the world of the Circle, no one is what they seem.
Maggie Hall
Maggie Hall indulges her obsession with distant lands and far-flung adventures as often as she can. She has played with baby tigers in Thailand, learned to make homemade pasta in Italy, and taken thousands of miles of trains through the vibrant countryside of India. In her past life, she was a bookstore events coordinator and marketing manager, and when she's not on the other side of the world, she lives with her husband and their cats in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she watches USC football, dabbles in graphic design, and blogs about young adult literature for YA Misfits.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This was a good read despite the slow start. The last few chapters really started picking up the pace. I usually like to "predict" what's going to happen and I am always happy when the book takes on a different approach from what I think would happen.
Immediately started the 3rd book as soon as the audiobook came to a close. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Things pick up pretty much immediately after the end of the first story, there's a lot of ground to cover. Avery is keeping a low profile with Jack, trying to figure out more clues to unlock the secrets of the Circle and to rescue her mother, who was taken hostage at the end of the first book. The Circle and the Order both seek the answer to an ages old riddle, one that Avery and Stellan may be able to assist with solving. The action moves quickly, and there is international travel, twists, and triangles galore. I admit I noticed this time that those European teens smoke a lot--good way for there always to be lighter at the ready.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The firs half of this book is a bit slow, but after that the story gains momentum. I like Avery's character development, especially towards the end. Although I didn't like what happened to one of the characters close to Avery (after all the trouble she went through), I get why the author chose to do that. In the first book I was a fan of Jack (yes, another love triangle), but in this book I'm leaning towards Stellan, I think he has great chemistry with Avery. There are some parts that confused me, so I had to re-read it, but overall I enjoyed this book. Looking forward to reading the next one.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The Conspiracy of Us read like a teenage wish-fulfillment fantasy rather than a well-plotted novel. Don't get me wrong, it was totally fun, but in an ABC Family kind of way. Map of Fates takes the premise laid out in the first novel and runs with it, to great effect. This is a fun, action-filled read, with absolutely no basis in reality. I don't know that I care much about any of the characters, but I enjoy the over-the-top, globe-trotting, action/adventure-film-ness of the story so much that it could have been populated with actual stick people and I still would have enjoyed the hell out of it.
