Lauraine Snelling has been writing and publishing books across all genres and for all reading levels since 1980. She received a Career Achievement Award for inspirational fiction from RT Books Reviews and has consistently appeared on the Christina Booksellers Association's bestseller lists. She has written over sixty-five books, and a hallmark of her style is writing about real issues within a compelling story. She and her husband, Wayne, reside in California and have two grown sons.

She and her sister were left in the hands of a caring well to do family. Now after many years her father, whom she never knew was alive or dead, has sent for she and her sister to leave New York and to go to a Western settlement to collect their inheritance. CENTRAL MALE CHARACTER: No central male character. However, a host of supporting characters. FAVORITE PART: Anything involving Opal. She was a real pistol. How a woman's life can change for the better which should be an inspirational lesson to everyone and well worth the read. Fourth of July celebration.LEAST FAVORITE PART:The main character was a bit overprotective of her younger sister. Stalking of Cimmaron YOU WILL LIKE THIS BOOK IF YOU LIKE: Historical romance, 19th century, Western, Inspirational fictionWHY (3) STARSI prefer a western with emphasis on romance. I also felt that the cliff hanger to the next book was disappointing and vague.
