Reviews for Life Stories
19 ratings2 reviews
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5They are all wonderful but especially Truman Capote's profile of Marlon Brando, Lillian Ross's of Hemingway, and Joseph Mitchell's utterly moving rendering of an otherwise unknown elderly black man from Staten Island.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Biographical essays of 30 people, mostly American, which appeared in The New Yorker magazine from 1920's up to 2000. Some of these are absolutely fascinating and most are very interesting glimpses into the life and soul of another human being. Wonderful to have around and dip into from time to time.
